Hi — we’re Adventures Are Us, a real-life family of five who believe the best memories usually happen somewhere between “Are we there yet?” and “This wasn’t in the plan… but let’s do it anyway.”
We’re not luxury travelers.
We’re not perfectly organized.
And we definitely don’t travel light.
But we do love adventure — whenever we can, wherever we are, even close to home.
Meet the Crew
Mom – “Margaret”
39 years old, professional memory-maker, snack distributor, and the one who says “let’s just see where this road goes.” I love planning trips that work for real families — kids, pets, budgets, and all.
Dad – “Robert”
41 years old, the steady one behind the wheel and the voice of reason when plans go sideways (which they often do). If something breaks, needs lifting, or requires patience — he’s your guy.
The Kids
- “Little Dude” (11) — always moving, always curious, and happiest when there’s a ball, a field, or a new place to explore.
- “Sis” (9) — equal parts adventurous and thoughtful, with a talent for finding the beauty in every stop (and reminding us to slow down).
And then there’s the boss…
“Fifi”, our Pomeranian puppy, joined our crew in 2025. Tiny, fluffy, fearless, and fully convinced every outing is about her.
How This All Started
Some of our favorite memories come from one unforgettable family road trip:
Las Vegas → Death Valley → Valley of Fire → Zion.
It was hot.
It was dusty.
It was absolutely magical.
That trip reminded us that family travel doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. It just has to be done.
What We’re Into
When we’re not planning our next adventure, you’ll usually find us:
- Cheering on youth sports – Baseball, Football, Wrestling, Cheer, Tennis, you name it we have tried it!
- Listening to outdoor music – Bluegrass and Folk songs are our favorites.
- Spending time on or near the water – Swimming, Boating, and Kayaks.
- Soaking up the everyday beauty of Tennessee life – Sunrise, Hiking, and Lakes are the best.
